Personal Hygiene ProtocolS:

Students are required to follow all training protocols for safety and the safety of others.

  1. If you do not feel well and/or are nursing any injuries, please stay home and rest.

  2. Wash hands prior to training and/or sanitize hands (RECOMMENDED)

  3. Students must wear a complete uniform -

    • Gi Class: Gi Top, Gi Pants, Rashguard, Belt

    • No-Gi Class: Shorts, Spats or Compression Leggings, and Rashguard

    • RASHGUARDS under the Gi is mandatory

  4. All gis must be clean and completely dry before class

  5. Students must bring their own towels and sandals. No sharing.

  6. All fingers and toenails must be trimmed and kept short.

  7. Students are required to wear a form of deodorant and avoid smelling foul.

  8. Students are recommended to freshen their breath before class.

  9. All open cuts must be bandaged properly.

  10. Long hair must be tied up.

  11. Please inform the instructors if you are not feeling well or are experiencing any skin infections.

  12. Students MUST have a waiver on file before training.

OPTIONAL Protocol

  1. Check your temperature before class begins.

  2. If you have a slight fever, please stay home and rest.

  3. The use of a mask during classes or while in the facility is optional and at the discretion of the individual.

  4. Students should obtain medical clearance to return to training after an illness or injury.


If you are feeling any ill symptoms related to or
not related to COVID-19, please stay home and rest.

Mats & Training Area Hygiene Protocols:

  1. Remove shoes before stepping onto the mats to prevent dirt and contaminants.

  2. Wash your feet before stepping onto the mats.

  3. No outside food or drinks in the facility, especially on the mats.

  4. Students must wear slippers at all times except when on the mats.

  5. Students must wear slippers to the restroom. No bare feet are allowed in the restroom.

  6. Keep personal items off the mats to maintain cleanliness.

  7. Wipe down training equipment, such as weights and exercise mats, after use.

  8. Disinfect mats regularly using a suitable cleaning solution.

  9. Clean mats immediately if blood, sweat, or other bodily fluids are present.

general facility and mat Protocols

  1. Due to space restrictions, students must attend class with minimal personal belongings.

  2. We highly encourage students to come dressed for class.

  3. If you need to change, students are required to do so in the designated areas (i.e., changing rooms or restrooms).

  4. All students should be mindful and respect others’ personal space and avoid unnecessary physical contact off the mats.

  5. All personal belongings must be placed in the designated cubbies or lockers.

  6. Any personal belongings left behind will be disposed of especially dirty or soiled belongings (i.e., wet gis, etc.)

  7. We currently do not offer any loaners - uniforms or accessories.

  8. The facility opens 30 minutes before start of class.

  9. Students should be dressed and ready for class at least five minutes before the start of class.

  10. The facility closes 30 minutes after the completion of the last scheduled class.

  11. No spectators are allowed on the mats.

    NOTE: We do our best to ensure clean and safe training but we also need the help of anyone who trains with us and make sure they are doing their part to train when feeling healthy, maintain proper hygiene, and are comfortable to be in such an environment.
